27 December 2021. In a report in journal, Infection, Genetics and Evolution,  researchers describe a fatal case of Balamuthia mandrillaris in a 15 -year-old male from Guizhou Province, China. 27 December 2021. The Cambodia Ministry of Health reported 15 new Covid-19 cases, all of which were imported and confirmed to be the Omicron variant. 27 December 2021. The number of patients infected with the Omicron strain in Thailand has risen to 514, with two-thirds of them being tourists. The newest cluster of concern was found in Si Sa Ket, where a couple travelling back from Belgium and are believed to have transmitted the virus to 125 people with another 97 awaiting confirmation.
