All 31 mainland provinces recorded at least one local Covid case over the past ten days, reflecting the broadest exposure to the virus since at least February 2021, when national health authorities began disclosing detailed records on where asymptomatic infections were occurring daily.

29 August 2022. The Ministry of Health, Cambodia Pharmaceutical Enterprise (CPE), and China’s Sinovac Life Sciences Co., Ltd. in July signed a memorandum of understanding to allow Cambodia to fill and pack COVID-19 inactivated vaccines according to Chinese standards and meeting the World Health Organization’s emergency use listing (EUL).

29 August 2022. According to the Ministry of Health on Monday, Myanmar confirmed 68 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally to 615,030. These cases included eight infected people who returned from abroad.

29 August 2022. Under Vietnam Ministry of Health’s guidance, hospitals were instructed to carry out screening for people with or suspected of having monkeypox in community or medical facilities. In addition, Health Ministry also requires hospitals to have isolation areas for monkeypox.

28 August 2022. In Cambodia, almost 10 million people have received 3^rd dose, while nearly four million had received 4^th and more than 610,000 5^th doses. For a 6^th dose still wait for a decision by the national Covid-19 vaccination committee and permission from the head of government.

28 August 2022. Thailand’s DDC reported the country’s seventh confirmed monkeypox case on Sunday, in a Thai woman living in Bangkok, who has had a sexual relationship with a foreigner, but has not travelled abroad during the current spread of the disease.

16 August 2022. Thailand Ministry of Public Health reported that there were 29 more Covid-19 fatalities and 1,508 new patients admitted to hospitals on Monday. This compared with 30 coronavirus-related fatalities and 1,663 patients on Sunday.

16 August 2022. The Chinese mainland on Monday reported 530 locally-transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 426 were in Hainan province. Altogether 1,838 local asymptomatic carriers were newly identified on the day, including 785 in Hainan, 629 in Tibet autonomous region and 248 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

16 August 2022. The Cambodia Ministry of Health on August 16 reported 36 new Covid-19 community cases and 24 more recoveries. As of August 16, Cambodia had recorded a total of 137,300 Covid-19 cases with 133,982 recoveries and 3,056 fatalities.

16 August 2022. Vietnam Ministry of Health has warned of an increase in the number of new Covid-19 infections as well as critical cases.Over the past week, Vietnam has recorded an average of 2,000 new Covid-19 patients each day. More than 100 seriously ill Covid-19 patients are being treated at hospitals.
